Mera Peak (6476m) is located in Everest/Khumbu Region from the south east of Mt Everest, the highest peak of the world. Mera peak is the highest peak of Nepal. It offers the gorgeous views of the five world highest peaks above 8000m; Mt. Everest (8848m), Kanchanjunga (8586m), Lohtse (8510m) Makalu (8463m) and Cho Oyo (8210m). While climbing on the Mera peak, so of the approaches are easy and some of them require the crossing of high and difficult passes. This peak is climbed from the Mera la Pass which connects the unpopulated hidden valley Hinku and Honku. From the top of the peak you can observe the vistas of the surrounding peaks, view of glaciers, remote gorgeous Hinku and Hunku valley etc. Mera peak climbing is technically straightforward. The exact location for Mera is given in the list by Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation (MTCA), where the location for Mera Peak is North 27°46'27" and east 86°54'40". The location of False Mera where all the climbers have gone so far is North 27°42'24" and East 86°52'9". This can be checked from any map showing the latitude and longitude and the latest GPS (Global Positioning System) technology.

While making plan to climb on the Mera Peak, you do not need to have superior climbing experienced but must have strong physical fitness. Thousand of climbers have climbed the ‘Mera peak’ in Nepal believing they have climbed the highest peak of Nepal. While climbing on the Mera peak you can see the breathtaking views of mountains and valley. To climb the Mera Peak, we take domestic flight from the Kathmandu to Luckla. From luckla we begin our trek until the Everest Base Camp by passing several days. After getting in the Everest Base camp we begin our trek to climb the Mera Peak. On the way to Mera Peak, you will see the amazing cultural life style of Himalayan Sherpa people.
