Safe, Supported, and Amazed—Scenic Nepal Exceeded Our Expectations
If you are considering booking a trip with Scenic Nepal then do it! We have had the pleasure of spending a combined 17 days with them, and we’ve been more than satisfied with them.
We had booked a private trip for the EBC and Gokyo Trek. The service was incredible and we had the most amazing guide and friend, Rajan, who made our journey very memorable. He made us feel safe and looked after every step of the way.
We only have one small tiny thing we would’ve wished we had been aware of earlier. Please book a day or two extra on the other end of the trip, to make sure you have enough days to complete your trip. Nepalese weather can be very unpredictable, and that can mess with your flight to and from Lukla. We were not aware of this before booking the flight from Kathmandu (this is mostly our own fault), and therefore we just followed the original itinerary with airport drop-off. Because of bad weather we missed our first day of the trek, which made us rush a bit more, than we probably should’ve.
But Dipendra and Rajan treated this problem in the best possible way and gave us some options for how we could continue. Even offering extension on the trip (for not much extra) to be able to get to do everything without rushing.
Icing on the cake was spending time with Dipendra, some of the other people at Scenic and other trekkers at their headquarters in Kathmandu to celebrate Diwali after our trek. Scenic Nepal is an incredible team!
